"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Lao Tzu
Hello and welcome!
I have over 20 years' experience working therapeutically in mental health, supporting people with a wide range of issues. My background before becoming a Counsellor was as a mental health Social Worker. More recently, I have worked in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, volunteered as a Samaritan, and at a charity offering bereavement counselling. I am also a qualified Life Coach.
I have been very fortunate to receive some excellent counselling support in the past for my own issues, and it was this experience that led to my passion and belief in sharing the benefits of counselling with others.

By making the decision to seek counselling, you are taking the vital step of wanting to confront whatever it is that is troubling you. This is a courageous act, because it is a human tendency to want to ignore or avoid the things that feel most difficult.
I will offer you a warm, supportive and safe space where you can feel free to be yourself without fear of judgement.
As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics.
I have experience of supporting individuals with issues relating to:
As a person-centred counsellor I hold the belief that the key to a happy and fulfilling life is to live authentically as our true selves, and often a central part of the counselling process can be to explore the things that get in the way of us being able to do this.
Counselling is a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported — without judgment. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or just feeling stuck, together we can explore what’s holding you back and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
I can help you to cultivate a greater understanding of how past experiences might be shaping the way you are thinking and behaving in the present.
"What will you do now with the gift
Of the rest of your life?" - Carol Ann Duffy
